I went to the Davis Mountains over the New Year Weekend. I stopped at Balmorhea State Park and took a swim. The water is a constant 72-76 degrees, so even in cool weather if feels nice. Next stop was Davis Mountains State Park. After setting up camp I went for a ride. After that I watched the sun set and the stars come out, until the clouds started rolling in. There were a few raindrops and lightning flashes overnight. The next morning I woke up and explored some more. I took a drive on the Davis Mountains Scenic Loop. Davis Mountains are a great little West Texas getaway.
